Indecisive Maddie on the loose

I NEED ADVICE EVERYONE!

Ok so, I love photography etc and my polaroid camera is absolutely fab but i want to invest in another camera too but i can't decide what!

I'm thinking maybe a Diana camera, a sprocket or a fisheye but i was really wondering if anyone could recommend a cool camera/has any opinion?

I'm hardly an expert so help would be fab, ive been looking at this website:

Feeling oh so holy

I've got to be honest, i don't have anything thrilling to say but I thought i'd keep all you lovely little sloths updated.

So, I had my Maths exam, and yes it was absolutely impossible and a total nightmare BUT OH WELL. Swiftly moving onwards....

I had the misfortune of going to church this evening for an hour and a half, no, your eyes are not deceiving you. That was followed by a family gathering which was really nice and i got a fair few compliments on my dress which was jolly good.

Entering the valley of death

This is my goodbye.

This is officially my last post before i enter the valley of death and fall into the depths of evil.

Yes, that's right.

Tomorrow is my Maths GCSE. 

I may be being ever so slightly overdramatic, but it is a total nightmare! Thought i'd leave you all with some Maths jokes so you can all be out in sympathy whilst i do my GCSE.

Egyptian beauties

I got a polaroid camera for my birthday in October and i absolutely LOVE it. The only issue is having to buy new film so regularly, it can end up being quite pricey! 
What i find so nice about polaroids is the old, slightly faded effect of the photos and the excitement as you shake the picture waiting for the image to develop. Although, of course it is sometimes a disappointment, as i experienced a few too many times whilst attempting to take photos of the beach in Egypt but just ending up with a bright white image.

I just scanned in these polaroids from my holiday to Egypt during Easter, i love how some of the beach scenes came out and my absolute favourite has to be a close up of a camels face. I prefer these pictures to the ones i took on my digital camera because they have character, next i want to invest in a fish eye camera ( just have to save up the money first ! ).

If anyone has any other cool cameras they'd recommend please let me know xoxoxo

The good ol' Duke

I've just managed ( after about six months of trying ) to scan some photos onto my computer and i've come across the photos of my Duke of Edinburgh expedition and they bring back some absolutely hysterical memories.

Picture this,

Six hormonal sixteen year old girls abandoned for a weekend, no phones, no internet, no shower and no proper food. Not to forget, each person had a backpack pretty much the size of a person strapped to their back, a tent to lug around and a mini cooker ( apologies, i've forgotten the technical term ). Yes, it was a recipe for absolute disaster. Not to mention absolutely none of us knew how to read a map, and had never used a compass before in our lives. 

So, we spent a weekend trekking through fields, being stampeded by cows, climbing fences and sleeping in tents simply to achieve the bronze Duke of Edinburgh award, commitment or what?? I know it sounds absolutely horrendous but it was actually surprisingly fun, simply because it was just so ridiculous and we spent a vast majority of our time eating/singing/dancing or just slumped next to a herd of cows. Oh, and most of my group had their first experience of excreting in a field amongst horse poo ( i, for one, did not ) 

So yeah anyway i thought i'd share a few of the photos with you all...

head over heels

I am an absolute shoe fanatic, upon entering into a shoe shop i transform into a little child at the zoo. This season i have fallen in love with some of the heels in high street shops with really chunky cut out heels and i have found just a few of my favourites.
I hope to get a pair before summer as i haven't open toed heels, which in my opinion are an absolute must have. The only slight issue i have is, i'm totally obsessed with heels at the moment BUT when i attempt to walk in heels of any sort i look like a constipated ostrich... i kid you not.

me, me, and a little more me

I, possibly rather foolishly, showed my mum my blog this evening and her only response was 'oh Maddie, i hope your blog is about yourself not just things you want'. I hadn't really planned a theme/style for my blog, i just wanted it to be my little place. I do absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE fashion, so naturally i will spend rather a lot of my time talking about clothes etc but i think it is important not to become too focused on materialistic things.

So, i thought as a change i'd do a post with a few facts about myself so you can dig deeper into my brain and get to know me a little better ( sounds rather creepy, doesn't it? )

1. I'm a Libra, but that doesn't mean much to be because I have absolutely no time for horoscope nonsense.

2. I am the epitome of a mad cat woman, I have two cats called Sox and Bertie but if i had my way i would be surrounded by cats 24/7

3. I love anything crafty, i got a new sewing machine and all sorts or arty farty materials at a knitting and stitching show recently and love making little vintage bits n bobs

4. I want to be a travel/culture journalist when i'm older. I guess part of the reason i started this blog was so i had the chance to write freely and feed my passion

5. My lifelong ambition is to speak fluent Spanish. I'm currently learning Spanish but i'm far from fluent! A girl can dream...

6. I'm completely unreligious, i prefer to be totally open minded and believe whatever i want

7. I'm ginger. Yes, i admit. Although, i prefer to call it auburn, but i stick with ginger for arguments sake. And bizarrely enough i love my hair colour.
